Apocrypha (Boss)

Apocrypha is the final boss of the game, and is Heiss transformed by absorbing the power of the emotions felt by all the sacrifices that passed through Historia.

StrategyEdit

Apocrypha has 3 phases. Each one has a different set of attacks, where the Second phase is arguably the hardest even if prepared. Aht is one of the best characters to use for this fight, because she can boost all the characters resistances to ailments, though Marco is a good choice as well, due to the amount of support he can give. Characters used in the fight should all be at least Level 50 or higher. It's best to attach items that prevent sleep, mainly to the healer o the party.

1st Phase: During this phase, Apocrypha will use Flame Burst, which hits all 3 party members or Civil Change (which blocks items). The basic strategy here is to heal when necessary, and constantly cast G-Fire/G-Frost/G-Thunder. The 1st phase cannot cause any ailments except for Civil Change.

2nd Phase: Uses Lost Mind which does a set amount of damage (40) and DOES NOT wake up a sleeping target, Stone Memory, which can Petrify a single target, Basic Attack, and the most debilitating, Last Night, which can potentially put 1 to all 3 members to sleep.

The main thing to do here is if using Aht, boost ailment resistance whenever it wears off, and continue the strategy from the 1st Phase. If you are using Marco, make sure that if he ever gets afflicted by a status, to heal him 1st, then use All-Recovery. If you are using neither, then you'll need to bring many Panacea Plus.

This phase can lock you into Sleep, and can then petrify each party member one by one, effectively locking you into a Game Over, which is why it is such a hard phase.

TriviaEdit

  • Just like Historia, its design appears to be based on Relativity, a print by M. C. Escher.
